Robert J. Awkward

Robert J. Awkward is senior consultant at Eastern Point Consulting Group, Inc. a management consulting firm specializing in helping organizations manage change effectively. Eastern Point offers expertise in managing a diverse workforce, organizational development, and strategic change management.

Bob has held diverse and successful human resource positions in varied industries including retail, manufacturing, high technology, professional services, healthcare and academia. Those experiences include twelve years as a senior manager serving the last three as Vice President of Human Resources. Although Bob possesses broad human resources knowledge, his areas of expertise include staffing, employee/labor relations, managing diversity, learning and development and organizational effectiveness.

In addition to his human resources professional work, Bob serves as adjunct business faculty at Universities in Boston, teaching human resources management, principles of management, principles of macroeconomics, principles of microeconomics, organizational behavior, organizational ethics, and management policies and issues. Bob is also active in his community serving as a Member of the Northeastern University Corporation, Member of the Northeastern University National Council, Director Emeritus of the Northeastern University Alumni Association, Treasurer and Member of the Board of Trustees of Atrium School, and as a Member of the Metro West Health, Inc. Board of Trustees.

Bob graduated from Boston University with a M.Ed. in Human Resources Development. He also received both a graduate degree (M.S. in Economic Policy & Planning) and his undergraduate degree (B.A., Political Science) from Northeastern University.
